Meet The Team

We are African tour operators dedicated to providing our customers with the best that Africa has to offer. In many respects our job is an easy one because in the wonderful, beautiful, diverse and compelling continent of Africa, there is something for everyone.

We are here for scuba divers, safari fans, adventurous trekkers, gliders and paragliders, artists, historians, students, teachers and those wanting to give a little back. Whether you are young or old, able bodied or disabled, if you have heard the call of Africa, we can help you answer it.

Holding ATOL 10355, all payments are fully protected by the TOPPS system administered by the Travel & General Insurance Company and we are fully insured. In other words your safety and security as importance to us as the highlights of your itinerary

Jamie Parker – Co-Founder & Sales & Marketing Director

There is not much in the ocean that Jamie hasn’t swam with; we are just lucky that he chose Africa to concentrate on. After five years in the Household Cavalry Regiment of the British Army, Jamie took his career underwater, working all over the world and achieving one of the highest PADI instructor gradings. Tanzania grabbed Jamie when he ran a marine research camp on Mafia Island. These days he is in charge of spreading the African Space message, when he is not found somewhere off Aliwal Shoal.

If I could only make one more trip in my life, where would it be ?

The answer is easy, the Sardine Run tops it all, no matter how many times you do it, the buzz of getting amongst the action never changes.

Sardine Run 2012 – One Week Trip

£1,970 - 7 Days
Diving

Just ten in a boat and more biomass under you than the East African great migration: now that’s an experience. Although you may feel outnumbered by the sheer extent of the marine life you are about to join, we like to ensure that at least your fellow divers will not crowd you.

Mark Gillies – Co-Founder & Managing Director

Mark has been trying to avoid Africa for years, but without much luck as he keeps ending up there. First encountering the magic of the continent as an 18 year old biological survey research assistant in Tanzania’s Kilombero Valley, he went onto train as a field guide, specializing in elephants, in South Africa. Working in positions in NGO and commercial positions across Africa, he is now tasked with making sure everything works – whilst dreaming of elephants and distant African mountains.

Mark likes to take his stories down and has written an account for children of some special friends from his time as an elephant field guide in KwaZulu-Natal. Called iMvula, Child of the Rain, it is available to buy on Amazon if you are looking for that illusive Christmas present!

If I could only make one more trip in my life, where would it be ?
