Stand 620 @ The Dive Show 2011

The winds are a blown’ and the leaves just keep falling from the trees: it must be The Dive Show time again! That weekend in the year when UK divers from far and wide for go their fins and decompression to converge on Birmingham’s to NEC to talk shop, bargain for kit and check out their next holiday (we hope!).

We always love this show as it is on our home patch, so we always make an effort to welcome all our compatriots. This year we are doing it in style with our new friends from South African Airways and the KwaZulu-Natal Tourism Authority. SAA have recently become very diver-friendly by massively increasing the luggage allowance include in a ticket if you are a diver and after a chance meeting with our Steph in a a village called Slaughter (?!), they decided to work with African Space to spread the good news. We love KwaZulu-Natal, the province in South Africa that seems to have it all, and so we were more than happy to welcome Nadine from KZN onto our Stand 620. Come on down and find out all about the province that has culture, history, Africa’s best diving, mountains and elephants. What more do you want?

Somewhere between setting up our shiny new stand (well done JP, cracking work) and collecting sofas (a long story, don’t ask), we have also found time to confirm the 2012 dates for our popular South Africa and Tanzania Join-A-Group trips, designed for adventurous divers who don’t want to travel alone. To meet demand, we have decided to run the trips twice in 2012: once in March and once in November. So check the website for the  dates and sign up while you can.

There is so much more to tell you, but in print I’d probably bore you. To get round this little problem, come down to the Show this weekend and say hi. But please don’t mind if we are a wee bit excitable; the caffeine accumulates awfully quickly.
